• Jason Solomons

    FOUNDER

Jason Solomons is an independent British film producer with several projects in active development, including the adaptation of the award-winning memoir A Waiter in Paris.

After 25 years as one of the UK’s most recognisable film commentators, Jason has transitioned his experience, instincts and connections into producing distinctive, auteur-driven films. His long career as a critic, broadcaster and festival curator has given him a unique perspective on the international film landscape, as well as trusted relationships with emerging and established directors, actors and financiers.

Jason’s track record includes championing new talent on the Guardian film podcast, curating innovative programming such as the Cinedrome at Green Man Festival, and hosting high-profile interviews and events for the BFI, BAFTA and international festivals. He has sat on juries for BAFTA and BIFA, chaired the London Film Critics’ Circle, and served on the board of the UK Jewish Film Festival. These roles have placed him at the heart of the independent film industry and given him a sharp instinct for the stories, talent and collaborations that resonate.

As a producer, Jason is committed to developing culturally resonant projects with strong artistic identity and international reach. His move into production builds on decades of experience communicating about film with large audiences of readers and listeners on radio, TV and national newspapers.
